We’re a band from the neighborhood…more specifically, the Elmwood district neighborhood in Berkeley, California…hence the name! Yeah, we know…not very original, but it works for us.

The Elmwoods are a fun and funky band. The musical net we cast is wide open and full of love. Come get captured at one of our shows! Plenty of rock, funk and soul for everyone.

A typical Elmwoods set list features unique versions of songs from California Honeydrops, James Brown, Sam & Dave, Aretha, and many other rock, funk and soul tunes. Normally a 7-piece band (can be “downsized” for smaller venues), The Elmwoods feature four vocalists including  a female lead singer, guitars, keyboards, sax, bass and drums. Based in Oakland.
